What it does for you

Switch apps without starting again.

The formats you have

GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON and OziExplorer files, plus GeoPackage maps.

Sorted for you

Recorded trips come in as trips and planned routes as routes. Waypoints come in as markers.

Tidy from the start

Each file gets its own folder, and you can undo an import that is not what you wanted.

No signal needed

Import with no signal, and everything you bring in works out of range.

Import complete in Dirt Map: from my-tracks.gpx, one trip, Hawkhurst Spur Track, imported to My Trips, with OK and Undo.
Import complete, with Undo straight away.
Imported routes and trips on the map in Dirt Map: a route with its waypoints, and recorded trips in their own colours.
Your old tracks, on the Dirt Map map.

The formats you already have

Dirt Map reads GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON and OziExplorer (.plt and .wpt) files. If the app you are leaving can save your tracks to one of these, Dirt Map can bring them in.

Trips and routes, sorted for you

Dirt Map tells your recorded trips from your planned routes, or you can choose to bring everything in as one or the other. Open a file in Dirt Map from the Files app or another app and it comes straight in.

Organised, with undo

Each file lands in its own folder, named after the file, so it does not bury what you already have. Undo an import straight away, or later from your recent imports.

Your own maps

Import a GeoPackage map and Dirt Map lays it over its own map. GeoPackage files are read as maps only.

An imported track is only as current as the file it came from. Tracks close and change, so check conditions with the land manager before you follow an old route.

Yes. Waypoints come in as markers, in the same folder as the rest of the file.
Can I undo an import?
Yes. Undo it straight after it finishes, or later from your recent imports.
Can I open a file straight from the Files app?
Yes. Open a GPX, KML or other supported file in Dirt Map from the Files app or another app, and it imports straight away.
