Dirt Map does not own the map. Thousands of people mapped these tracks, and public agencies published the rest. Here is who, and under what licence.
OpenStreetMap
The base map, the road and track network, and most of the campsite and points-of-interest data come from OpenStreetMap.

If you find a track that is wrong, missing or misnamed, the best possible fix is to correct it at openstreetmap.org — it reaches every map built on OSM, not just ours.
Elevation and terrain
Contour lines, elevation profiles and grade are derived from the Copernicus GLO-30 Digital Elevation Model, produced using Copernicus WorldDEM™-30 © DLR e.V. 2010–2014 and © Airbus Defence and Space GmbH 2014–2018, provided under the Copernicus DEM licence.

Coverage outside NSW national parks currently comes from OpenStreetMap. Queensland Parks and Wildlife withdrew its statewide camping-areas layer from public publication, and we will not use unofficial re-uploads whose licence cannot be verified — so Queensland campsites are OSM-sourced until QPWS republishes.
Software
Dirt Map renders with MapLibre GL and stores its offline maps as PMTiles, an open single-file tile archive. Both are open source, and both are the reason a whole state fits in one downloadable file instead of a tile cache you have to keep warm.
Corrections
Map data errors are best fixed upstream at OpenStreetMap. For anything else — a campsite that no longer exists, a difficulty rating that is plainly wrong, a licence credit we have got wrong — email kelvin@dirtmap.com and we will sort it out.
